LOS ANGELES CONVENTION CENTER WELCOMES ELECTRONIC
ENTERTAINMENT EXPO (E3 EXPO)

June 6, 2011 (Los Angeles, CA)

–Electronic Entertainment Expo, an annual trade-only program of the Entertainment Software Association (ESA),
produced by IDG World Expo, opens tomorrow at the Los Angeles Convention Center and will close on Thursday,
June 9th at 5pm. Electronic entertainment giants such as Sony, Nintendo, Sega, and Microsoft join over 200
companies exhibiting their products throughout the Center. Some of the biggest video game industry
announcements and the most anticipated cutting-edge games are shown at the E3 Expo.

According to a video on MSNBC.com entitled “Odd Facts About the E3”, the convention will use more than
35,000 video monitors, the bandwidth required is more than what most cities require all year, and there is
enough Ethernet cable used to reach from Los Angeles to San Francisco, TWICE!

E3 is Los Angeles’ largest convention of the year. “This is the 12th time that the E3 Expo has been hosted in Los
Angeles, and we are extremely excited to have this prestigious group return. Our staff is well prepared for the
tens of thousands attending as well as the vast amount of technology that will be utilized throughout our
advanced facility,” said Pouria Abbassi, CEO and General Manager of the Los Angeles Convention Center. “With
this being a key event for the interactive entertainment industry, it is an honor and a pleasure to have them with
us again,” Abbassi added.

“We’re proud to be the host city once again for E3,” said Mark Liberman, president and CEO of LA INC., The Los
Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau. “This is the world’s premier trade show for computer and video games
as well as related products, and Los Angeles is one of the leading cities when it comes to technology. We look
forward to E3’s return this month,” Liberman stated.
