For the past twenty years, Native New Yorker Frances Renk has called
Chicago home. Always a city girl, she resides in Lincoln Park with her
husband, Christopher, and her beloved dog, Bandit. The daughter of
Korean immigrants, Frances learned at an early age the importance of hard
work. Her ambition and entrepreneurial spirit led her to start and grow
two successful lifestyle businesses at the young age of 18.
When Sequin, a New York-Based costume jewelry company founded by
her sisters-in-law, Kim and Linda Renk, needed someone to oversee
national brand development, Frances' keen business sense, eye for design,
flair for fashion, and her passion for jewelry made her the perfect
candidate.
Frances’ desire to stay current with the latest trends has her frequently
exploring the globe for inspiration and industry trends.
In addition to her Brand Development responsibilities, Frances also serves
as the director of Sequin’s retail store operations. She recently opened
Sequin Chicago, Sequin’s fourth retail store in the United States. Other
retail locations include Palm Beach and two stores in Newport, Rhode
Island.
The Sequin brand is currently sold at major department stores nationally,
and Sequin continues to design jewelry under private label for some of the
top names in the fashion industry.
Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, InStyle and Lucky are just a few of the major
fashion magazines that regularly feature Sequin. Not to mention, their
uber chic pieces have been worn by almost every cast member of Gossip
Girl.
