The highly anticipated full-service Italian
restaurant Frankie’s Scaloppine is now
open next to Frankie’s Fifth Floor
Pizzeria at The 900 Shops (900 N.
Michigan Avenue).
The charming Frankie’s Scaloppine
features a basic, city-rustic interior with
a hint of elegance. Dark wood walls
are studded with dinner plates featuring
signatures of celebrity guests, and
dramatic wainscoting adds to an
intimate feel. Rustic, warm orange
drapes flow throughout. Light wood
floors, and glowing chandeliers with a
weathered iron finish complete the
look. The 85-seat dining room includes
an ancillary private party space
available in sizes up to 60.
Handwritten menus offer Italian salad
and chopped salad, and appetizers
including the grilled seafood antipasto
plate, calamari “my way” and artichoke
all’ Sophia. The main course
scaloppine dishes are pounded thin
with over 10 options including veal
limone, all-natural pork scaloppine,
portobello mushroom scaloppine,
chicken martini and more.
Pasta entrees include whole wheat
capellini, handkerchief cheese ravioli,
penne with eggplant ragu and baked
ravioli Sardinian style.

The same team behind the acclaimed Frankie’s Fifth Floor Pizzeria, which opened in
November 2007, leads the charge for Frankie’s Scaloppine. Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises
Vice President Christopher Francis Favero and General Manager Gianfranco Cuneo both come
from a family lineage of Italian restaurant proprietors. Submerged in the culture as youths,
from their family meals at home, to working at the restaurants with their fathers, Favero (aka
“Big Frankie”) and Cuneo (aka “Little Frankie”) are experienced in bringing Italian hospitality
and wholesome simplicity to the dinner table.
The creative team also consists of Vice President Geoff Alexander, Executive Chef Candido
Aguilar and Corporate Chef Rita Dever.
