"Seeing Is Believing"
VIP private event - a preview of
the Center Stage Theater
showcasing Naperville’s newest
performing arts and meeting
venue.
The owner of "Kidz Kabaret,"
Kandiss (Kandi) Hernandez,
started this project in her back
yard years ago, with the Center
Stage being created after out
growing their own space. After
hundreds of Naperville little ones
never being turned away an
opportunity to learn about staging,
acting, behind scenes, costuming,
and performing, their walls needed
a makeover and more structure to
welcome more children for the
years to come. I met the daughter
of Kandiss, and she was such a
delight. Her confidence and help
to giving back to the facility (even
a young adult now) beamed. The
arts and theater build character,
and this was obvious.
This very well sectioned facility
has 'Act One', 'Act Two' rooms,
conference, store, costume room,
2 stages, and a modest cafe area.
Very charming and amidst
completion, this evening was to
celebrate and raise funds to
complete construction. Viewing
sketches of the finished product,
could only bring a warm smile.
Jim Peterik, singer of the famous
song, "Eye of the Tiger" performed
quite a few classics to get the
giving spirits going in the
successfully seated theater
audience that evening. Tour of the
space, and great food and drinks
were served as locals like Two K
Productions, Glancer Magazine,
Glambassador Tami Brown, and
others attended and volunteered
to support the coming of a well
deserved new theater. Making
ends meet and committed to
developing children, Kids Kabaret
is now READY to move forward!
