It's like the Kentucky Derby, but with a twist!
Spend a day at the races to cheering on
cycling's elite in Grant Park on Chicago's
beautiful lakefront for the city's premier
cycling event, the Chicago Criterium on
Sunday, July 26, 2009. Fast paced racing will
begin at 7:00 a.m. and continue throughout
the day.
Best described as NASCAR racing with
bikes, the all-day event features 10
professional and amateur criterium bike
races on a closed circuit loop, approximately
1.1 mile in length with the start/finish line at
captivated with the fast paced straight-aways,
tight 90-degree turns and the occasional pile
up! The event will feature a Kids Big Wheel
Race, Goose Island Beer Garden, Sports

¡Viva! Chicago Latin Music Festival
in Grant Park Aug 29 & 30
Considered one of our most spirited and
lively festivals, this year's fest celebrates 21
years and features Lila Downs,
Aterciopelados, La Excelencia, dj -Aguzate, El
Cabao and more. Admission is free or
GRATIS!

The festival will feature two musical
performance stages, a Salon de Baile, where
all are welcome to come and dance to live
music as well as stay for the evening DJ's
playing music of all genres. Don't miss the
annual Mercado, or marketplace, which will
feature all types of goods from fine art to folk
art. New this year will be a Cantina and La
Cocina, (kitchen,) where visitors of the
festival can experience the food and music at
the most personal level.

Chicago Country Music Festival
Returns With a Twang
October 3 & 4 in Grant Park
Saddle up and get ready for Country music in
Chicago with headliner Miranda Lambert!
The Chicago Country Music Festival is known
to deliver some of the best country
performers just north of Nashville. Last year's
event attracted more than 100,000 people to
hear Gretchen Wilson and Taylor Swift
perform. This year, the Chicago Country
Music Festival will feature three stages, a
dance tent, farmers market, art fair and a
Kids Corral. The fest opens daily from 11am
to 9:30pm in Grant Park.
