Ken Trempe
Ken Trempe who has completed 30 years of great service with the Chicago Police Department.
Officer Trempe he has spent patrolling the streets of the 14th police district. Officer Trempe was
a field training officer for many years responsible for the hands on education of police recruits
after leaving the academy.

Prior to being a police officer, Ken taught 7th and 8th grade for 8 years, thus his responsibility as
an FTO was a continuation of his educational background. Many of Ken's recruits have gone on to
become detectives, Sergeants, and Lieutenants, a fact of which he is very proud. Officer Trempe
will retire on June 7, 2012 and will leave behind a legacy of trust respect and love from his peers,
and the ultimate tribute of being perhaps the most well known and beloved officer in the 14th
district from the people that he has served over the past three decades.
