The Chicago Red Dress Party Launches Official Website.

CHICAGO, IL., May 11, 2010 ---The Chicago Red Dress Party  announces the launch of its website  today
www.
chicagoreddressparty.org . The organization will host its first annual Chicago Red Dress Party at the Art Institute of
Chicago on September 11, 2010. The purpose of the event is to raise visibility for HIV/AIDS and funds for organizations
that provide vital community services for those living with HIV/AIDS. This year’s beneficiaries include the AIDS
Foundation of Chicago and Equality Project. The Red Dress Party has hosted fundraising events in different cities
across the country with over 6,000 attendees (national wide) wearing red dresses regardless of age, gender or sexual
orientation.

The events producer Kyler Powell stated, “I’m excited that we’re launching the first official Chicago Red Dress Party
fundraiser here in Chicago. This fundraiser is innovative and new, seeing the attendees, regardless of gender,
participate by wearing red dresses is amazing. I’m excited to see what red dresses Chicago has to offer.”

The website will provide sponsorship information for business interested in becoming a sponsor, different ways
supporters can get involved in the event, where attendees can purchase tickets and additional media information.
Purchasing tickets for the event begins June 1, 2010.

About the Red Dress Party:

In the Early 1990’s two Gentlemen were dating when they both contracted HIV/AIDS. To show their love and dedication
they vowed when one of them passed away the other would attend their funeral adorned in a red dress. From this
promise the concept of the Red Dress Party began. Portland, OR is the home of the largest and longest running Red
Dress Party event.  April 17, 2010 will mark the 10th year anniversary. There are currently red dress parties in
Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, San Diego, CA, Phoenix, AZ, Las Vegas, NV and now Chicago, IL.

Kyler Powell found his voice as an activist in the civil rights movement when, in joining the national outcry against
the passage of California’s Proposition 8, he produced the largest LGBT rally in Washington State’s history.
Attracting over 10,000 people, the march captured the energy of the young and old focusing it anew into action
against injustice and inequality.

Directly after the 2008 march, Kyler was offered a position with Equal Rights Washington (ERW) as an event
producer. Preceding ERW he established Equality Project as an avenue to use event production to educate and end
prejudice and discrimination.

Kyler is thrilled to be a part of the movement and is committed to continuing the fight for equal protection under the
law for all American citizens.
